| The electrode arms are the most important part of the spot welding system for the user, as they are the part making the contact with the component. It is important to ensure that the correct arms are selected. The range of possible electrode arm designs is limitless, but shown below is a range of standards which will cover 90% of requirements. PW has the ability to bend copper of up to 50mm dia., so special arms can be manufactured easily, even for the most complex applications.
All electrode tips are made from the range of chrome or zirconium coppers available. These resist wear, while still being highly conductive and therefore remaining as cool as possible during use. All PW guns will be specified either with BS807 taper or ISO taper electrodes, depending on the application. A range encompassing several hundred caps, tips and adaptors is available.
